New to Scottsville United Methodist Church
What to expect:
Sunday services start around 11:00am and usually last a little over an hour. We would describe our worship style as mostly traditional conservative.
- Upon arrival please park in the lot to the east of the church across the street from Canal Basin Square. We invite visitors to use the two visitor spots close to the church.
- Greeters are located in the parking lot entrance to provide assistance.
- Dress style is flexible and casual, so please feel free to dress comfortably.
- A nursery is offered for both Sunday School and Sunday Services, and a separate children’s church for children under 7. A children’s time is integrated during a portion of the regular worship service.
- We are pleased to offer musical worship in the form of a director led choir and occasional special musical events.
What we offer:
- Scottsville United Methodist offers opportunities for personal and spiritual growth throughout the week.
- Choir meets on Tuesdays at 6:00pm to rehearse for following Sunday’s worship.
- Adult and children’s Sunday school begins at 9:45am. Adult Sunday school meets in the fellowship hall while children’s Sunday school begins with music time in the sanctuary.
- Nursery service is also available during this time.
United Methodist Men and Women meet monthly to discuss future fellowship and mission opportunities.
- Outreach to the elderly community in the Scottsville Apartments year round
- Summer VBS
- Youth group which is active and personal
